Gotta hand it to the Democrats. They have worked great as a firewall between leftward movements and their conservative party and the ultra nationalistic right wing party in this country. The capitalist owners of the two parties played a great game of shutting out the "socialist" in the primaries and then push the worst possible candidate to sneak in Harris a few months into the first term. about three weeks before elliot engel lost to jamaal bowman, both campaigns commissioned a poll. Bowman used an independent pollster that showed him winning by about +12. it cost 3k dollars or so. Engel, since he was an incumbent, had to use a DCCC vendor. It cost more than 2 million dollars, and had him winning by +15. Bowman won that election by +15. These are the pollsters the DNC uses.

So if I'm looking at a path to going to sleep tonight, I need a Biden victory that doesn't include PA. It looks like this set of states does it: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, Arizona (and NE2 for comedy sake because I used to vote there). Is that 270?

There are still some good things happening, and I'm hoping that if people like Kelly win they'll be energized to speak out loud and long against the GOP bullshit. Democrats need politicians to fill the leadership vacuum and spend every single day challenging the Republicans. If the Democrats spend the next four years doing the same thing it will be a very long wait until the next election.

People are panicking because the mechanism to deal with a drawn out or contested election, particularly one relying on mail in ballots, are firmly hosed by Republicans. Many understand its going to be drawn out, that isn't great given everything thats been said or thats been going on.
