because when you're the face of the national coronavirus task force and magazines are interviewing you to ask how the country should respond... sorry you're the public policy expert whether you want it or not

loving laugh at all the libs falling over themselves to fellate fauci. the dude leans republican and has a horrific track record of ignoring gay folks dying with AIDs in the 80s. somehow that reputation has been wiped clean and all is forgotten

Oil changes are a scam, there's no reason except profits why you would use the same oil to lubricate bearings that contacts combustion products

we had one on our sedan and you could just pull into the bay, staying in your car, they do what they need under it and topping off fluids then you roll your window an inch and give the masked the gloved lady your card

Your tires are probably hosed unfortunately.. it's a good idea to turn it on every few weeks and maybe drive around the block a few times to circulate fluids, charge up battery, and make sure it's not resting on the same position in the tires.

75 degree day in chicagoland, went to a small park that's not well known we've been going to all year. Never more than one car before in the lot

Place was packed (maybe 40 people total while we were there) Saw no less than 6 groups doing photoshoots with their dogs. Presumably all families but who knows or cares. Maybe 20% mask use with other people, 0% with photoshoots. Illinois hashad 10k+ cases 4 straight days. Who cares I guess

The only mainline half masks that have the diaphragm are the Honeywell North 8500 and the 3M 800 series.

So, despite still being very low on the totem pole, I am now on the phone calls where the department of Emergency and Disaster Preparedness goes over the status of hospital ER rooms and other such things throughout the state. Everyone had an optimistic and cheerful voice despite the fact that hospitals in some areas are already nearly at capacity and county health departments are "overwhelmed". Idk why I'm on these calls when my job is literally data entry and mailing poo poo but it's fun to listen to the people in charge of making sure the state doesn't implode act like everything's going to be fine

E: and the union didn't save me, I went to the psych ward and lost 2 mos of pay (still haven't recovered financially though I'm good enough mentally) and I got promoted while I was in there to a different division where they let me work from home and very few people go into the office. Union was toothless and eventually stopped responding to me.

We're on our 3rd straight day of over 2000 cases in Los Angeles, including the highest daily total since mid-august.

Between the Lakers and Dodgers winning and everyone continuously packing outdoor restaurants, it was inevitable. And with people partying after biden's win and "ironically" going to brunch today I'm pretty sure it's gonna spiral out of control again just in time for the ill advised holiday celebrations everyone's gonna do.
