when they say the ps5 does 'ray tracing' they mean for pre-rendered scenes or something right. I have a pretty powerful pc and ray tracing drops me to like 30fps at best

Nah both new console GPUs do some form of ray tracing (not RTX) and yeah, you're probably not gonna see anything higher than 30fps with it enabled. Digital Foundry just did a pretty big video about the new Spider-man game and how it uses ray tracing.

I bet you’ll get some well optimized games that can hit 60fps with ray tracing but it’ll definitely be either in 1080p or some dynamic resolution. 4K/60fps/RT seems far fetched

I mean they’ve already announced the next-gen editions of DMC5 run at 1080p/60fps with ray tracing, I don’t see why it’s a ridiculous target for new games to hit
