The way Sengoku (I think) talked about the Red Hair Pirates (something like "no weak links in his crew") made it sound like all ~10 of them are at least Sweet Commander/Calamity level. They would probably have to be, to keep up with the much larger crews of the other Emperors, especially since Shanks individually doesn't get the kind of hype ("World's Strongest Man"/"World's Strongest Creature"/"Natural Born Destroyer") the other Emperors do.

Yeah okay I'm being disingenuous by comparing Usopp and Nami to Beckman but my point still stands: they seem ridiculously outclassed. Usopp had the most badass moment in Dressrosa and Nami helped Luffy take down Cracker in Whole Cake; these aren't characters who deserve to be jobbed off camera. Big Mom reclaiming Zeus is particularly frustrating. If the Straw Hats are being set up as a crew who can potentially square up to Yonkou then they have to do something rather than just sit around crying until someone bails them out. Of course it's One Piece and everyone has infinite stamina so they could still win their fights I suppose

Straw Hat crew is still kinda hard to judge based on power levels. Sanji keeps attacking people way out of his league and losing, Zoro keeps fighting people way beneath him and barely lifting a finger. Brooke has shot way up because Big Mom's Devil Fruit and Queen's poison do nothing against him but he's really not taking one on one fights, just surviving things by circumstance. We still have no gauge on how strong Jinbei is, because he's never had a one on one that mattered either. I'd say outside of Luffy/Sanji/Zoro/Jinbei the rest of the crew are just specialists and we'll probably keep seeing them in those roles. Ussop has defeated two really broken Devil Fruit users already in a way only he can, Franky seems like he can handle himself but isn't going after top tier opponents, Robin seems to be content with gathering Intel, Chopper and Nami are uh......Navigating and Doctoring. One Piece has a massive cast of characters, it's kind of hard to give all of them a spotlight but I feel like Oda's fights have just been secondary lately to the worldbuilding/lore. Compared to My Hero Academy where even minor characters can get good fights based off their quirks/abilities, I don't think the Straw Hats have been used to their potential since Enies Lobby. Tbh I feel like the power levels are mostly consistent with what we’ve seen of the crew preskip since Sanji’s generally always had a glass jaw compared to Luffy/Zoro; Luffy and Zoro are the monster duo, Sanji is OU BL, Franky, Brook and Robin are pretty capable in a fight even if they can’t wreak the mayhem Luffy/Zoro/Jinbei can, and Nami/Chopper/Usopp are the weaklings who are still way stronger than any normal person. Sanji used to be more likable but tbh he’s never really had consistently strong showings the way Luffy and Zoro have.

Usopp and Nami have never had any particular talent for close-in brawling, but that doesn't make them weak overall. They need planning, preparation, and a generous dose of opportunism to properly gently caress people up, but when they do, the results are spectacular. They're the artillery stuck on the front lines. Of course things are going badly for them at the moment.
