I get much harder Mortal Kombat vibes from that than Predators, to the point where Cage comes off like he's riffing on Lambert's Raiden.

I just wish there was more cartoon poo poo in their human world, I want full blown Roger Rabbit style blending of styles.

The MSJ posted:Godfather 3: The Coppola Cut I'm confused. Was Godfather 3 famously hosed with by the studio or something? I thought it was just universal accepted that it sucked because it was A) unnecessary, B) lazy, and C) Sofia Coppola was terrible in it. What would this solve, besides possibly B, and maybe just a little bit? Like, it's just a re-edit? Is there any more info on what this actually is? This is the first I'm hearing of this. thrawn527 fucked around with this message at 16:30 on Nov 18, 2020 |

Francis Ford Coppola posted:Mario Puzo’s The Godfather, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone’ is an acknowledgement of Mario’s and my preferred title and our original intentions for what became The Godfather: Part III. For this version of the finale, I created a new beginning and ending, and rearranged some scenes, shots, and music cues. With these changes and the restored footage and sound, to me, it is a more appropriate conclusion to The Godfather and ‘The Godfather: Part II and I’m thankful to Jim Gianopulos and Paramount for allowing me to revisit it. We're going to get Disney Theaters and Netflix Theaters as the big players coming out of this, post-Paramount decision reversal. My big fear is that even though indie theaters could thrive in that environment, they won't have anything to play. That the model will shift so much that anything that isn't a major studio release will just go straight to streaming and never bother with theatrical distribution. I don't think it's the most likely scenario, as audiences like theaters and a theatrical release gives some prestige, but it feels like things could shift in that direction at least to a degree.
