After vetoing a two week extension to our current lock down restrictions last week the DUP have done a rapid turn and the NI executive have just announced a further two weeks of all hospitality closed as well as non-essential retail until December 11th Turns out a week is a long time in politics

Yup, mine went out for about 20 minutes. Might be due to all those new PS5s getting hooked up and downloading a bunch at the same time.

Might not be the case this time but Virgin have repeatedly had issues with outages caused by their DNS making GBS threads the bed, so it's worth setting your DNS to an alternative provider.

Virgin has been having rolling failures on their internet services in the south for a few weeks now. Not quite sure whats going on but their engineers have been out pretty much everywhere.

Definitely feels like some sort of engineer or programmer designed the menu around the chips boolean.

Yeah, this is why most chippys have the chips bit separate.

I had problems with Three a couple of weeks ago and read all the complaints, but then looked at the other services and they're all having problems at various times. I think it's when they're doing something with the 5G - probably setting it up to mix with the vaccines.... (JOKE in case anyone thought I was serious!) I'm using a 4G homehub and I found switching the router off and on actually helps! (Do it a couple of times til it connects via a part of the network that's working better even though it gives me whacky places when I open google maps - eg one time it started me up in Glasgow and another time Sheffield, even though I'm sat in South Wales.)

Viable laser weapons are one of the first things you can research in X-Com Enemy Unknown, which is set in 1999, and you don't even need alien tech to do it. They are therefore entirely cromulent weapons of war for the UK to use in 2020.

Maybe in the 40s, but it'd involve investing in Blackpool now.

Also, the bullshit they're using against Corbyn will absolutely be used on the rest of the Labour left if it works. People are digging in and defending him because they understand that this sets a precedent.

Also when the second one made it's debut voyage into Portsmouth, it destroyed the power generator it was supposed to hook up to when its berthed, meaning both it and the sister carrier had to be left with their engines running for days to provide power while they repaired it
