New Arcana bounties are bugged and only give common stage 1 rewards no matter what stage you complete and no matter how you set up the bounties. Complete waste of time until hotfix comes. Bring Wisp when they are fixed because speeding up the new juggernaut escort NPC makes a huge difference. Normally it will stop and do really slow attacks on every enemy it sees but with haste it just runs past everything. Iso Vaults still work fine if you need scint or damaged gun parts, but mechs have significantly more eHP and require you to shoot arms off first even when using wide/punch through weapon like Stropha. They have status vulnerability but their special damage resist suppresses status to the point it does nothing. Bringing viral for the 4 stacks it lets you put is probably good for mechs, but useless for rest of Deimos.

It's waybounds are awesome for your spoiler-mode. The affinity range is... handy? The dash ability while much nerfed on defense targets/drills (used to work at full effect on them) does provide some healing and such. I forget if it works on yourself.

I know they never will, but they need to rework the op so bad. There should be some real fruit for bothering to grind out all that drat focus. The op should be a goddamn terror on the battlefield. edit: I have lots of bad opinions about warframe and this is one them. smallmouth fucked around with this message at 16:51 on Nov 20, 2020 |

The op should be a goddamn terror on the battlefield. It's a good opinion. Focus school skills are only good for doing Eidos for the most part, with very few but significant exceptions. They're very useful for Eidos but if you don't like doing those the effort of ESO focus farming is pretty wasted other than a few core skills. Operator skills are so lackluster outside of Eidos that I suggest doing ESO focus farming only for the core focus skills: Energizing Dash, Inner Might, Power Spike - and if you're stuck in Zenurik, unlock Mind Sprint and its sibling. If you have the luxury of either Arcane Energize or an EnergyCube don't even bother unlocking those Naramon waybounds, just do all but the last pip and stay in Naramon. Do the rest of your focus farming by doing tridolons because if you enjoy those you'll be swimming in focus anyways and with better return than ESO for your time. Mind Sprint is the one game changer waybound that's useful everywhere. If you can't be in Naramon, definitely unlock it as a waybound. Mind Step isn't anywhere near as useful. E: There are more interesting and useful skills for builds, didn't mean that list above to be as authoritative sounding as written! Just the more generally useful ones. v1ld fucked around with this message at 16:27 on Nov 20, 2020 |

How bad is the Khora nerf?

I'm very confused by the Nightwave stuff, am I meant to know any of these people? My first experience of it was getting thrown into an cutscene that I skipped out of, but it appears to have been an actual mission thing that I now haven't been able to redo using the Nightwave console thing.

didn't read through the patch notes too closely at first, guess the 5 hour endurance runs for SE really pissed off DE if they were willing to toss a nerf at Khora lol.

There's a little pentagon of numbered buttons in the lower right of the Nightwave console screen for the season 3 Glassmaker event. The Glassmaker Nightwave event introduced one "crime scene" at a time over the course of its run until unveiling the final scene a little while back. You can return to each crime scene with the buttons, with button 1 being the first in the sequence. In each crime scene you search for "evidence," and when you have all the "evidence" you can spend the Cephalite Resonance dropped by the randomly occurring "glass resonance" enemies in missions to resolve that crime scene for extra Nightwave rep. It's not presented super well, no. Even having done the scenes in order as they came I found it hard to remember which character went by which name.

Ah, for whatever reason when I interact with the Nightwave button, it throws me straight into a crime scene, don't get a chance to select one. It's very, very weird because I think I went 2 -> 4 -> 5 and I have no idea what's happening lol.

When you logged in after they added a new crime scene and checked Nightwave, it would do that with the newest scene, so maybe it's doing some rear end-backwards thing where it's separately showing you all of the crime scenes, one at a time, because they're all new to you? Check the console like five times to cycle through all the crime scenes available and then check it again and see if it gives you the actual console menu after that maybe.

slow_twitch posted:They were clearly pissed that people were..playing the game? they've had a long history with what they consider to be "degenerate" gameplay and anything believed to minimize '"interaction" with the level design. #1 has led to the death of many a farm like old ember as one of the early casualties. SE farming was definitely going to bring out the hammer as the AI change hinted at trying to get people to stop camping in a corner spamming 1. #2 was the stated reason for the longest time as why we couldn't get univac. No DE, "jumping into the corner 5 feet away to pick up a mod" isn't good gameplay and people just get more pissed when something falls through the swiss cheese level geometry. there's certainly a specific vision of how they want the game to be played, but lol at how hard it veers from the common player desire of accumulating resources in the most efficient manner to not waste hours.

Johnny Joestar posted:oh, that's literally nothing lmao Agreed. The reason everyone on the forums/etc is complaining is because it means they actually have to, like... move around, and look around, to farm with Khora. Like every other frame. There are some minor issues with weird collision but it's mostly just "my farming bot got taken away".

Even if the dome is checking line of sight that's kind of fine as long as it's range didn't get nerf'd, it can still be big enough to lock down a hallway or medium large room as soon as enemies can see it at all.

I wish they'd change iso vaults to just automatically prompt you to start the next one, or at least prevent you from accidentally restarting one that's already been cleared. But then, I wish lots of things.

Pretty sure the new meta for killing mechs is Arquebex after testing different stuff. You can sit there and spam shots on the shoulders then once the arms are gone the mech dies in a couple hits. For widows you need to shoot over the shield at the head. Pretty safe too because you can abuse your own storm shroud to eat mines or absorb reflected damage. The energy economy doesn't hold up for 6 mechs but you can re-summon the mech during the cauldron phase and break the little orange caskets to refill energy. Stropha is also still kinda good, very little else is. You don't get any benefit from punch through until arms are gone and they inflated the eHP a lot. Finding a really fast way to break the arms would make for fast kills again. I've tried a variety of stuff including archguns but nothing seems to work super well.
