Local pizza chains can be a bit dire sometimes. Like, sambal petai slaps, but not on a pizza. I'd try the salted egg pizza if someone else was paying, though.

molds, salads, and other inappropriately round foods were usually 1960s, the obsession with circular forms is very space-age. 70s would be more about rustic slurries and crockpots; 50s, I think, would have more Hurri-Curri canned stuff with less effort made to disguise its nature? uncertain

My family had a jello salad that was lime jello embedded with shredded carrots and celery, topped with a mayonnaise based topping with sliced green olives and pimentos on our thanksgiving table well into the 2000s

My grandma made lime jello with applesauce and maraschino cherries, and honestly that was fine. No one was pretending it was "salad" or anything though, it was just dessert.
