I'd like to post my dream address in here: There's a lot to see, but we have something called the Duck Challenge to help make exploring the island fun. There's seven wooden ducks hidden throughout the island, try to find them all to become a Dream Duck Master. There's a cache of tools at the northwest marker on the map to help you traverse the island.

Today's job is to go island hopping to find someone to fill Ruby's spot. Ideally I want a normal I like more than Flurry who would be permanent (Kiki is top of my list but there are others I like too). Maybe a smug but O'Hare's only just got here and hasn't been around long enough for me to be sure I want to replace him. (Limberg is in the campsite today. He looks hideous and will not get the chance to take the empty spot.) Island layouts: spiral x3, bamboo, money rock, waterfall x3, fidget spinner, short river x2, sister fruit, big fish, short river + pond (nice variety this time around) Nice or at least tolerable villagers who weren't quite what I was looking for: Maelle, Fang*, Julia, Phoebe, Soleil x2, Bones, Norma, Rolf, Rosie, Sly Abominations I will not have under any circumstances: Marcie, Croque *turning down Fang really, really hurt my soul. He's lovely. But I already have an adorable cranky grey wolf. If he ever comes to the campsite I'll absolutely battle the RNG to get him to replace Apollo, who is the same cranky subtype. Final outcome: Shep. Sorry, O'Hare, seems your time is going to be limited.

I feel like I'm missing something. Been playing for well over a month or so and still don't have the ability to terraform. Not sure what I'm missing, also can't seem to get to 3 stars for the KK Slider concert. I just got the art wing opened in the museum (didn't realize I HAD to donate my first piece of art), and donated a second. Sold one plot of land for a new villager (BlueBear) and grabbed a second plot to sell. I feel like I'm really missing stuff but can't find the right way to go about it. I know this stuff is supposed to take time, but drat I wanna change up my island. Kinda running into an issue of where to put stuff due to having pretty sizeable cliffs areas in my island and not enough bridges to really connect stuff, but still having space to pretty things up around the houses.

Get more villagers (I think you need at least 8 out of 10 to progress? but I might have pulled that out of my rear end), plant more flowers, place furniture down everywhere and you should get to three stars. The KK concert is the trigger to get terraforming. Also if you get lost you can ask Tom what you should be doing next.

I think the starter cabin looks super nice for Lazies. We had Cole in a cabin with a dirt floor was great since he kept talking about all the bugs.

I've still got Sherb in the original lazy house and I'm convinced that it fits him as well. His canon house is I don't know... a bit manufactured? It follows the theme of a cute bedroom at bed time. Right now though, he's got a few new things like a stove and a skeleton that he's bought off me.

Chill day today catching up on the chores I've been putting off. A bit more path work, mostly laying stone paths behind buildings so nothing can spawn in hidden places. Thinning out some trees and flowers. Working on some places I had no immediate plans for - got a nice social area on the south beach now, some loungers, some toys. Getting some more facilities together for the main area around the plaza and the little entrance square outside the airport.
