I like Hasan in small doses. He has lots of fun guests on his streams. Dave Weigel, Ryan Grim, Trihex and Osita Nwanevu all did stuff with him recently. The Ilhan Omar & AOC Among Us stream ruled. He’s not my favorite on Twitch but he’s become my go to option while I wait for Chapo to come online.

Hasan is incredibly important to exposing left wing talking points to terminally online people who are subjected to right wing rhetoric from everywhere they go other than twitch. The amount of people he's probably turned from reactionary right wing edgelords into a left leaning member of society is probably staggeringly high.

Oh so we're doing politics based on electability then, not because it's the right thing to do? This kind of thinking leads to the NDP dropping everything socialist from their platform and turning into Liberal-lite

I'm mostly just joking around, it would have zero problems with Singh commenting on Alberta, but I get why federal leaders don't want to put their hands directly into an obvious hornet's nest. like there is absolutely zero practical upside from trying. you'll piss off alberta like crazy (maybe even harming the NDP party there even though they're not really connected to the federal party), no one from ontario will give enough of a gently caress for it to matter, and quebec will get pissed off at the barest suggestion of anyone federal saying anything relating to a province ever.

RIP Skydome? Hello condos? One of the most-iconic pieces of Toronto's skyline — The Rogers Centre — is reportedly set to be torn down and replaced with a newer, smaller version of itself. And maybe also condos. An explosive piece published by the Globe and Mail Friday morning reveals that Rogers Communications Inc., which purchased the old SkyDome in 2004, is planning to demolish the entire facility and "construct a new stadium as part of a downtown Toronto redevelopment." The goal is to keep the Toronto Blue Jays (also owned by Rogers) in their longtime home, though unnamed sources told The Globe that the telcom is considering building "a new stadium on a lakefront site" if this reno project falls through. https://www.blogto.com/sports_play/...h1F-WgzcqWt6bcw

tearing down a stadium to build a slightly smaller version of a stadium with room to build condos is the most canadian thing possible, i hope rogers is also misreporting it's income to the bank so they can qualify for a larger mortgage. i look forward to the article about how everything went wrong in torontolife
