Reminds me how Donoteat one had to remake his discord server because somehow the last one got taken over by Maoists New discord is nice at least Also see there is some discourse coming from breadtube about how we should put energy in deradicalizing Nazis; honestly better spending that energy in radicalizing liberals and making leftist spaces less white cis men.

Was that before or after Travis had to cancel his appearance at Harry Potter camp? There was also a todo about some artists for one of their books getting dogshit compensation from their publisher recently too, but they paid the artists out of their own pocket almost immediately an negotiated better terms with their publisher going forward. One nice thing about the Mcellroy fandom is that if they ever do something actually heinous I am garanteed to hear about it very quickly. Its obnoxious sometimes but also when real problems are brought up in twitter callouts they tend to actually address the issue like with the publisher thing so it's probably a good thing overall.

The most recent was the stuff with the publishers that most people agreed they handled really well. And then a certain subset of fans were furious that they didn't basically run their own publishing company so they could constantly monitor every singe thing they do on top of running a podcast empire and having families. It is good that fans feel comfortable to bring problems up to them directly and they always address fan concerns. Most fans are perfectly reasonable and don't expect them to be perfect, it's just a small subset that is very loud and seems like they only hang around in hopes to be the one who finally brings down these podcasters who keep seeming to be genuinely decent people. But enough about the Facebook groups.

I mean, it doesn't make me ill to the point of vomiting, but the way the artist (or the photo filter) highlights the strands of hair makes me gag a little whenever I see it.

I think it's because it's one of those LCD screens designed to reduce glare. I tried looking in a mirror, but all the mirrors in my house are broken, which leads me to believe I'm living in some kind of virtual construct, but they can't do real-time reflections, else the simulation will crash.
