There’s no long term data about this vaccine, period. Science needs time to play out and there’s no way to accelerate that. I’m not saying the vaccine has immediate negative side effects, we have data that indicates otherwise.

To be frank I need to read more literature about the vaccine. As a healthcare worker I might have the opportunity to get picked before the month is out and I just need to learn more

Amd is back up to 92 and I’m considering getting out because I got in at like 20-30. Now that the new consoles and video cards and cpus are out I’m not sure it’s going to go any higher. Thoughts?

Acute care RN. I do work with covid inpatients sometimes. And I can tell you I’m not the only one that doesn’t love the idea of being in this first wave of vaccinations.

Like I said before, I need to read the peer reviewed literature to make an informed decision.

They're probably going to continue to steal market share from Intel for a couple years while Intel unfucks itself. They might not go up as fast as they did this year, but I'll be shocked if they go down.

Perhaps, but I am curious to see what happens if there is an ARM industry shift here over the next 5 years or so. TSM 🤔

Are you happy with your gains? If so, get out. Will you be sad if your current gains go down? If so, get out.

If you are happy with The Number's current result, who cares what The Number does next month for this stuff? AMD isn't your retirement account (I loving hope).

AAPL is not likely to supply high performance ARM parts outside of their own wheelhouse.

Qualcomm has only just brought Snapdragon up to ~Sandy Bridge (2011, 22nm) single core performance in the same timespan (admittedly at mobile TDP vs desktop, but Intel's current offerings @ <5W could certainly do that now too)

So that depends on whether some third group has the chops to do so, cus Qualcomm certainly doesn't

Tax question:

So I'm a WORK owner since July (got in at $32.10). Since they are being bought by CRM for $45.86 per share, does that mean I would be taxed on short-term capital gains?

Is anyone thinking of anything energy related due to the recent OPEC meetings? I can't decide if I want to buy CVX shares or CVX puts, which means I shouldn't do anything. I haven't had the time to follow it closely but were I to gamble on it I think OPEC will extend the production cuts. Also, any positive vaccine news will probably cause energy stocks to rise. I also think it would be very easy for them to fall quickly, which is why I'm not really planning anything right now.

I’d happily take that and run OP. Or else sell half and get in early on something else.

Me too. Checked in premarket and canceled my $25 order. I'll buy when it gets down to $15. It does suck seeing it tumble but having a $11 cost basis makes me not give much of a poo poo.

Same. I sold half my position (cost basis 11.47) and ordered a fully-loaded Steelcase Leap chair. If we get back to the $12-$15 level I will pick up more. PLTR is a long-term hold for me.

I own PLTR because their management has a track record of success. Theyre well connected people. The growth is absurd but I do think it will be a successful company. Look at who they're contracting with.
