Most mom and pop bowling alleys updated to digital scorekeeping in the 90s using the AMF BOSS scoring system and have kept it because it's reliable.

There are companies that make newer bowling score systems for places that are trying to chase the Dave & Busters audience that have more recent CGI, but even then it's still a relatively niche market so the CGI in it isn't mind-blowing or anything.
