I love that Peter bungles their own point by ignoring that Elliot literally says in his note that he indeed is privileged by being a famous white trans person compared to massive swaths of the community, and will work to amplify those voices just as much as his. Like, A+ analysis as always, Pete, you figured out the thing your subject explicitly admits to and says he wants to do all he can to combat is indeed a disparity between him and most of the community!

Just Write is one of my favorite youtubers and his recent takedown of Mulan is definitely worth a watch. I really enjoy these dissections of why seemingly small details, things that you don't really pay much attention to in general, things as deceptively inconsequential as "which scene goes in what order," make a huge difference to the overall tone and delivery of a story.

None of the criticisms the post-Gamergate right has of anyone to their left have anything to do with them failing to live up to their rhetoric or deliver change, as Coffinn suggests. They think BLM protestors putting themselves in harm’s way to affect actual change are “virtue signaling” just as much as Pelosi taking a knee in a kente cloth scarf before voting to fund every police state excess, and Marvel Comics creating a diverse cast for their Northrop-Grumman partnership comic is just as “socialist” as Medicare for All.
