Thinking about picking up a 2010 Dyna with just under 50k km (30k miles give or take)on the clock. How likely to grenade is it? - should I spend similar money on a much newer low mileage sportster 1200?

50k on a TC Harley will either be almost immaculate or almost irrecoverable. The only endemic problem they have is the cam chain and tensioners loving out, they usually last about 35kkm but there was both a factory fix and various field fixes so once it's been addressed it isn't usually a problem again. A sportster is always the better choice if reliability is on the radar.

Test road both. Sporty was more fun than I expected. Dyna was pretty good but holy poo poo those brakes are dogshit. To be expected on a bike that heavy I guess.
