The problem on pubs is 90% of demos are demoknights so it’s sometimes comes down to a soldier or heavy just because of the composition of your team.

I don't ever play spy but I enjoy watching clips. Baiting the rockets and then surfing them to get the med is quality. Often the layout of the map itself, on both a micro and macro scale, had to be designed with it in mind. Properly blocking out visleafs and occlusion blocks was legitimately an artform that took hours upon hours of refining and practicing. It was what separated good maps from great ones. lmao looks like that poo poo don't matter no more

I feel really, really dumb but I got scammed. Some dude faked me out with a fake trade bot and somehow none of the extremely obvious red flags bothered me enough to tell him off. I've reported the account that scammed me and the fake bot to Steam, but now my item has reappeared on trading sites with a clear link back to me (since every item ID is unique). I don't think there's anything anyone can actually do, but does anyone have advice? I'm still really mad at myself for falling for it.

I’m pretty happy pier was finally added and hope it stays past the event. I used to play it a lot like 5 years ago, and it still is pretty good, albeit not at upward or bad water level. Edit: the things I’ve seen for the bot maker, it is apparently he’s a troll and Valve is not going after him legally. I also have seen he’s a horrible human being who tries ton exploit children. I took a break from TF2 for a while, but I see there's new stuff for Smissmas. Regarding Marketplace.TF, have the changes they planned affected prices or anything? I was curious if maybe the price of Tour of Duty tickets changed. I bought a few a month or two ago, but haven't used them.

I redownloaded TF2 after like 5+ years and am pretty dumb about how servers or matchmaking work these days. If I want to play like non-serious normal old rear end TF2 I want to queue Casual, right? Is there some reason these servers fill empty slots with aimbotting bots? Is there a filter somewhere where I can tell it to join no-bot servers, even if it is just 3 v 3 or whatever, instead of getting immediately headshotted by one bot on a team otherwise full of humans? This seems insanely dumb I'm guessing I just need to find a few private servers

For like, no apparent reason other than to gently caress with it. just go to the server browser and find a community server to play on.

While there are a lot of good community maps out there (I used to play on TopNotch a lot), there are also a lot that are actually just stinkers, white elephants that people have put a lot of effort into but just play badly for one reason or another. I maintain that the Snowplow map that the End Of The Line people flipped a poo poo about was probably actually excluded because it was a bad map that wasn't really that fun to play. The train gimmick was mildly weird but Valve could have said "set a normal timer like an A/D map, make the train hammer effect just an environment hazard, and it's in".
