Funny as it sounds. I love the UK one, probably won’t be of any use to the game, but it’s a fantastic work of fiction masquerading as a non-fiction reference work (a genre I absolutely love). It creates a vivid world. It feels oddly like a study of history. Land of the Free is also good too.

Oddly enough I don’t think Mike Pondsmith had any involvement with the UK one as he has no listings in the credits at all.

some life path intros are longer than others. like i think nomad and street kid have some length but corpo is like a half hour maybe but apperently have more later on, idk. i know each has some exclusive missions and poo poo.

Lame.

back when it was still being brainstormed (like before witcher 3 came out) they had talked about it being way way more free flow like that. gently caress the game was kinda of mystery box until like two years ago. i suspect they only started making it like 5 to 4 years ago and it was announced 8 years ago and first teased 7.

i am genuinely curious what stuff was left on the cutting room floor. i suspect one of the early ideas was having either silverhand/blackhand/saburo arasaka live in your head. but that was cut.

Honestly even if it is, they often make for great reading. A good idea might be to look through drivertrurpg for for descriptions and pick what ever catches your fancy, with the books often being like a historical work or reference material you can easily jump around them.

depends. they made a 3.0 version of the pen and paper that was a sequel to arasaka tower getting blown up. https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/Cyberpunk_V3.0 it sucked rear end and is no longer canon. some of the stuff is clearly going to be changed like johnny silverhand looks like this.

Yeah as much as I'd like to believe that we preloaded the whole thing plus the patch and it's just super duper compressed or something I doubt that the entire game is less than 60gb's, so I'm resigned to having to download another 43 or something tomorrow. I'm just hoping we can preload it before launch hour so I can play immediately (which is supposed to be the whole point of a preload lol)

to be honest from the takes I've seen I'm kind of getting the impression that I was most dreading. Outside of the bugs the game is just kind of dull and unremarkable. Mediocre shooting, some halfhearted nods to deus ex style non linearity(hack the door or go through the vent right next to it), a lot of edge thrown at the wall that isn't particularly clever, there's nothing I've seen that jumps out at me as the game having that intangible spark that elevates it beyond your generic expectations. Hopefully I'm just a dumb wrong rear end in a top hat.

So can someone explain the New Zealand Xbox trick in detail or just confirm this.
1. Buy the game in any region.
2. Preload Game
3. Switch the region to NZ
4. Do I need to reset the Xbox?
5. Can I just leave it on? Do I have to turn it on after release in New Zealand?

I’m mostly just thinking of hedging my bets that GeForce Now (also 4K on the series X) might get swamped or take a few hours to get up and running...also goddam I love my couch more then my computer chair.
