All right, thanks for y'alls input. My parents aren't going to be around forever, so it would be nice to have that smell of my childhood home in stock. I recently smelled something in the air that reminded me of my grandparent's house they moved out of 25 years ago and it took me right back.

To the person asking if I can describe the smell, I can't, it's very subtle.

I had some questions about Playstation Plus subscriptions. I got a PS4 last year and it came with a year of free PS+. I didn't really use it much in that year and it just renewed the other day. Not a big deal.

PS+ is the online, multiplayer, social interaction, etc subscription, right? One of the benefits to PS+ is that you get full free games every month that you can download install and play whenever. These are usually games that are a bit older, but still quality. And you get to keep those games for as long as you own your system, right?

There are also some older (PS2, PS3) games on the game store that I thought you can get access to for free with a PS+ subscription but that seems to be not correct somehow. For example one of the older Katamari Damacy games was on there. But that might be PS Now? And PS Now costs as much as PS+ subscription, but it includes access to 100s of games that you can "stream" or download, but those for sure go away if you cancel your PS Now subscription, right? If so, how well does streaming a game work?

I just kind of feel like I subscribed to the wrong service. I don't really do multiplayer games (though getting full AAA free games is nothing to sneeze at), so if that's all I'm really getting with PS+, I thing I'd drop that in favor of signing up for PS Now and playing the last generation or 2 of games instead.

Your description of the two is correct. The only other benefit you missed in the PS+ list is "cloud backups," which may or may not be worth the price of admission for you. If you're playing fewer multiplayer games, I assume that means more single player games where losing your save data in the event of drive/console failure would be more frustrating.

But yes, PS Now is the streaming/download service, while PS+ is first and foremost about online multiplayer with the cloud backups and monthly free game as a "bonus."

Running a page or group is pretty easy if you don't care about all the business poo poo, just post whatever rules you want and keep it moderated. There are probably better ways to go about keeping people informed of whatever, though.

Yeah, that's why I never did it, but apparently people are complaining that they never know when things are happening (we post community news on the website and on the marquee outside as well as flyers in local businesses but if it's not on Facebook it doesn't count).

Fortunately one of my superiors took matters into her own hands! She made a regular profile. Not a page. She is giving everyone in the office the password.

But I didn't make it so nothing is my fault! Problem: solved.

Is there some sort of website or app where you can input a list of things and then it will present you two of the options asking you to pick which is better until it's sorted the whole list from best to worst?

I guess what I'm thinking of would be identical to those, I don't know what the right word is, bracket style tournaments like that gamefaq thing where they voted Undertale best game and it could be done manually like that, just wondering if there was some automated version or even better where you could continue to add new things to the list.

what separates BYOB, CCCC, FYAD and the other non-grey forums. I've been here over a decade and still don't get it. I'm aware this is powerfully uncool to ask.

Is it that BYOB is chatting with pals, FYAD is more aggressive/4chan, and CCCC is just threads that became too social? I get that yospos is for computers, like YCS was for the console wars, way back in the day...

They come in different thicknesses but they are usually a lot more robust than foam mats. I tried using foam for a while and they're only good if the exercise is stationary, the ones I used would slide along the ground a bit and (more frustratingly) stretch out when I was in various poses--like my legs would just keep sliding farther apart/away from my hands and I had to readjust constantly.

all are welcome in BYOB, pop in and out as you see fit, if you're funny, even better.

FYAD is the opposite, the culture thrives on ostracizing others and you need cred to thrive there, negative postcount and never posting elsewhere help. being funny is almost as important as being mean.

It's done via CSS for people by admins. I'm not sure if they've integrated it fully into the admin panel yet, but it's a special thing that users do not have the ability to do themselves.

AFAIK it's a place where a few specific chat threads have been sent because their original forum homes weren't working out for them for whatever reason or it just seemed more appropriate for them to be in a chat specific subforum than original subforum.

It's apparently a very complicated issue because humans are bad at doing this ranking themselves. It's also the same type of system used in ranking chess players.

My aunt's house always had the most wonderful smell. She moved several times when I was a kid, and the smell followed. So my guess is a lot of a house's smell is brand loyalty to cleaning and laundry products, unless there's something overpowering, like weed.
