They're warm-blooded and feathered, and they've got a four-chambered heart, but they're still basically reptiles in most respects. It's a bit of a fine line, though, and I have my suspicions about why extant synapsids (the reptilian line that includes mammals) are not considered reptiles, but if you follow that line of thinking then you have to realise that all vertebrates are just highly derived fish and phylogeny is fake.

The air conditioning in our apartment building is not central air but instead is water cooled. Running it does not mean paying stupidly large electricity bill but instead just means paying for a fan to blow over the chilled pipes already in the building. 5 years we've been living here and just using a little pedestal fan because it's fairly well insulated so not a major hassle most of the time. Instead of paying for the little pedestal fan to blow warm air at you the whole apartment could be dropped down to 16ºC if we wanted for about the same price.
