Pity Games Workshop were so scared shitless of computer games in the 80s and 90s, otherwise they would be where Blizzard are now.

There's also Battlefleet Gothic, Blood Bowl 2 with 3 on the way, Space Marine plus tons of other fun games like arpgs etc.

Never mind video games, GW were terrified of the internet as a concept until honestly maybe 5 years ago.

They should do a tesla and buy into the infrastructure and get big in 3d printing. Using that technology with the disintegrating dvds from a few pages and years ago.

and put smart disintegration in so when the figure gets zapped it poofes out into dust

Oh yes BFG is quite good and Space Marine looks like a good brawler type game.

I got a little bit bored of the original BFG but only because the procgen campaign is realllly slow and plodding and with minimal variety, the actual gameplay is pretty sound. Never got round to buying 2 but it is apparently better.

Was hypothesizing on the phone with the parents just now, and i suspect this weekend is going to end with Boris emerging from brussels waving a piece of paper, claiming to have secured a WTO trade deal, and absolutely zero british journalists will correct him on what that means.

Also WORAMMER.

They had a couple of games in the 90s but they were eh...

Space Hulk
Final Liberation
40K Chaos Gate

Probably some others.

Space Marine absolutely nailed how a 40k action adventure should be. If you're the slightest bit curious about it, give it a go.

I've watched an LP of it but it's one of those things that I probably wouldn't spend money on because I have very little budget for things I'm not going to play for like 100 hours.

That reminds me now that it has been long enough that I might actually be able to play it i should see how much Space Marine is on Steam cos it looked fun from the LP even if the player was loving dreadful at it.

Space Marine was pretty fun, especially the multiplayer, even though it's sadly very dead now.

probably cropped her headshot out of a photo with other poo poo in the background and sticking more hair on was easier than doing anything else to obscure whatever was there before.

seriously why did they do that? what is the graphic design team at the bbc smoking?

Part of me thinks the BBC graphics team have Trans friends but honestly what are you gonna do to improve her Rocky Dennis' head?

OwlFancier
Aug 22, 2013

You could have just... cut out the head with the same amount of hair on both sides, it's not like they cared about the hack job they did on the hair anyway. If there was something in the photo you could just cut it out you don't need to open a portal to the repeating hair dimension and include it in the graphic.

BBC for fucks sake I can do better photoshop in my several years old copy of gimp than you can.

She is famous for having messy hair it's her brand.

OwlFancier
Aug 22, 2013

Yeah but like that's not her actual hair it's someone copy/pasting the image and then translating it right a bit (appropriate for the guardian) to double it up on that side. You can see where it repeats.

It was fun if you had a playstation and couldn't play Halo which it was a blatant rip-off of, right down to the dropship first mission.

(I liked it anyway)

Dawn of War 1 and 2 were fun for different reasons, but there's still something fun about going into skirmish mode against 7 easy opponents and kust trashing them all.
