Yeah the cheap mass produced plastic toys often used peg-and-hole designs to connect two pieces together, like a horse and rider. Sometimes the peg went the other way which didn't look a whole lot better

That's weird because all the Britains rider figures I have had/seen had arseholes and the horses had pegs on their backs (not anatomically correct, as far as I know horses), and a lot of them were from around 1978, probably.

If you didn't make the rider sit on the forehead penis I don't know if you can even say you had a childhood. e: That's a Britains "deetail" figure by the by, and it's what I'm familiar with. I guess they may have had other lines with other, more penisy systems.

Yeah, that's the type my brother and I had as kids. The Civil War (American one, not Cromwellian) cavalry were the same. Funny, we never thought about the butthole in the riders, even though we were adolescent boys. Now I want to time travel back then just to point that out to younger me. I would have been delighted to learn that then.

Farts were always a topic of discussions & jokes and butt talk used to be discouraged (at least after potty training) but these days there's an entire industry of kids entertainment based around butt themes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnseeY78gWg

There is a surprising overlap between children's book titles and chuck tingle novels.
