I also just couldn't let live anyone into sex trafficking or hosed up rape poo poo for BDs. Speaking of, there is a ton of rape and suicide in this game. Even Keanu screams directly into the screen at you to kill yourself, it feels really weird inside when someone yells at you to kill yourself, especially when it's someone you generally think of as being nice and kind. Had a fight with two skull level mobs, while punching on one, i used them as a meat shield until II could rush over to start the punches there. I've also got some implant that gives me a couple seconds of slow before being spotted... it owns so much I wish it was a perk itself. Never taking this thing off my nervous system or whatever. Often the slow time lets you move into cover you couldnt otherwise and in the right situations, you can use it to just knock everyone the gently caress down before the can even react.

Fixer's are 100% based on their geographic location, you're triggerring all of Regina's missions because you're hanging out and tripping flags on her turf. if you head to pacifica, you'll get different fixers

I like that the street crime missions will be more thick than just kill these dudes and get paid, like you'll find shards and they lead you to a stash, and another encounter, and some story, and then you save a few dudes in a container, and sometimes get paid like 3x what a standard street crime mission would be. It's nice and feels much more thought out than farcry outposts.

Nah, they just have their own territory. Once you go east just a bit you'll work for Wokado, in Heywood for Padre, Pacifica Mr Hands. etc. If you're just clearing out a section one at a time you'll end up talking to the same fixer a lot. Although if you're beating up cyberpsychoes a lot you'll be hearing from Regina all over the map too.

Someone probably mentioned this already, but found neat little reference/easter egg in a side mission. Basically you rescue a guy and it turns out he's a Japanese brain surgeon. After completing the mission he does the entire Japanese heart surgeon monologue from The Office.

I kept the hosed up ripperdoc alive because as a Corpo I understand that he is more valuable to me as a wholesale cybeware importer. i was able to buy Mono-Wire and double jump and still have enough eddies left over for the Akira bike.

Goddamn I love this game so much. It’s full of the funniest bugs this side of Todd, but it’s also actually fun. Like I have a friend who is truly obsessed with and loves Fallout 76 and so I got roped into playing some of it with him and Jesus Christ that is what buggy unfun poo poo is.

The setting is just GTA vice city with scifi stuff attached to it but I love vice city so that aspect is 10/10 It really is carrying the game though and I think it's biggest trick is it convinced everyone to play RAGE but with worse gameplay.

Ughhh I reached my breaking point for jank. Literally everyone in Afterlife is hosed up, cans of beer are floating around like loving poltergeist. People are levitating cigarettes 1 foot in front of their mouths. I can handle SOME glitches, but they keep getting worse... time to take a break from the game for a while until they fix it. I was really enjoying the story but it's too broken.  Also I just got the mission to meet Panam outside of the city and I hear ITT there's a game breaking bug in this quest. May as well stop here.

my Series X is still on the way but I decided to get the jump on the start of the game and download it on my One X. I figure it'll be fun to see the difference once the XSX gets here. People probably already know this but I can confirm that there is no quality/performance graphics slider, I saw at least a couple outlets report that the game would have a graphics toggle on the X1X before release. Other than that it's completely playable to me, looks decent on a 40" 1080p TV, nothing really mindblowing but hey it ain't bad imo

After watching Dr Lopo finish this last night and seeing him go (like me) from so pumped on Wednesday to literally last night saying to his chat don’t buy this game. And my own experience with the prologue on a PS5 I’m going to see if PlayStation will give me a refund. Never tried before, but they clearly shipped an unfinished game, and I have too many great games I haven’t played to think this is worth it. I’ve learned my pre order lesson (minus with Nintendo games).

I think they designed it so if you really like the way a weapon works, you can just make it useful for the entire game through upgrading.

So, despite having gotten pretty good at stealth in this, I haven't actually taken any perks in it (mostly I just use hacking to distract, blind or shock enemies to death, then walk on by or murder them), can you eventually get something like the double takedown ability you had in DEHR? I'm finding that to be a thing that's missing. I'm guessing there isn't anyhting like that.
