Also if she is unloyal(and only her) in the hold the line and your defender score is just low enough she will die(just have 1 of Grunt/Garrus/Zaeed and all of Jack/Tali/Kasumi/Mordin hold the line). You can also kill loyal Miranda with just one causality, at least one of Jack/Tali/Kasumi/Mordin has to die in hold the line for loyal Miranda to die. Now Morinth has only one way for her to die and no one else, make her the second fireteam leader.

It's funny how Miranda has a lower chance of surviving in ME3 if you broke up with her, like in running away from Kai Leng she thought about getting dumped by Shepard and that moment of hesitation proved to be fatal.

Miranda has to be loyal, warned about Kai Leng, and given Alliance resources to survive. If you break up with her she loses loyalty and dies. You either have to break up with her in Mass effect 2 or talk to her at the docks and then lock in a another romance. But yeah she goes from being hard to kill in 2 to hard to keep alive in 3.

What happens in Elysium if Miranda is dead before ME3? Do you just save her sister?

I didn't realise it gave priority to non-loyal to die first in hold the line. Lest we forget, your reward in ME3 for passing the absurd paragon/renegade check required to get Morinth on your team in the first place: one of the banshees in the game will have "Morinth" as their name tag instead of "Banshee". exquisite tea posted:What happens in Elysium if Miranda is dead before ME3? Do you just save her sister? Yeah I think Oriana just takes over any plot critical roles for her and you save her yourself. I seem to remember her dying in my Miranda-less playthrough though so maybe she always dies if Miranda isn't there.

exquisite tea posted:What happens in Elysium if Miranda is dead before ME3? Do you just save her sister? Oriana takes much of the role Miranda does in the mission, sending a warning about Sanctuary and taking Miranda's role on videos you find. And you can just not save her, you have to pass a reputation check or do a renegade interrupt to save her.

Recruiting Morinth is one of those renegade decisions that's just so pointlessly stupid I can never bring myself to do it even in 100% redbar runs. I always thought it would have been way more interesting if Morinth only kills Samara IF you attempt to stop Samara from killing her, and then you're forced to accept her aid or admit your tremendous fuckup. Would have been an interesting inversion where the paragon action makes things decidedly worse.

Morinth does allow a non-standard game over if you meld with her after the Suicide Mission. Apparently trusting the space vampire that you are special is a bad idea.

Every nerve in your body will decay and wither instantly, your brain will explode, and your heart will rupture. Shepherd: Lol she just ain't had this pussy. Morinth: No you'll be fine, my mom was just jealous of us. Shepherd: gently caress yeah, let's do this. *dies*

This has bothered me since their introduction. Does anyone else find the portrayal of the Vorcha to be disturbing in that it's an entire species of sentient beings that are regarded as nothing but dumb, violent laborers? They really feel like a poor writing choice.

One of the DLCs, I don't know if it's Leviathan or Citadel, adds a couple war assets that are educated and valued vorcha - a task force of vorcha fighter pilots, and a vorcha construction company that makes full use of their biological adaptability.

This is how you know Cerberus is poo poo; if I had Jack, Legion, and Morinth I could do something better with them than make mid-level goons. They probably stopped trying after they turned an N7 veteran into Kai Leng

TBF those vorcha you're running into are either members of the blood pack, or stuck on a space station where crime is functionally legal, so they're turned into an underclass and treated like vermin. Looks like they do fine elsewhere. Also I think there are some asari who talk about having a vorcha dad or something?
