Honestly, all I wanted from ~year of the klingon~, well aware none of it would really happen?
 At least they fixed it so klank-aligned folks can get the fleet Titan, but that wasn't intentional in the first place...

I'm still expecting any day now they'll announce the "Legendary Adversaries Pack", featuring ~10 non-Fed ships like a Legendary B'Rel, D'der, D7, JHAS, and whatever else is "iconic" to throw against a hero ship. Of course, we haven't really gotten anything from Lower Decks besides the doffs yet, so the queue may be pretty full.

My guess is they'll release a legendary ~Alliance~ pack for the anniversary with a mix of Klingon, Romulan, and JH ships, while simultaneously removing the faction restriction on Fed/KDF ships so everyone can use anything. I think the Titan was a WIP of that which accidentally got released early. That's just a guess, though, I'm prepared to be disappointed either way. Is it possible for a character to get bugged so you can't load it and it's just stuck at 'loading' on the character select screen? So if you select it 'play' is just greyed out. Like so

At the moment, apparently yes. My entire roster except my main has been bugged that way for the past few days. I put in a support ticket and they said it's a known issue.  Between that and the apparently consistent problem of respecs and loadouts refusing to save properly god only knows what disaster is going on in their databases.

Don't forget that the main endgame is blocked too: Boffs not in your ground squad can't be edited at the tailor. The error message talks about trying to change species, so who knows what the gently caress is actually happening.

So I blew one of my T6 tokens on the synth pilot ship thingie (I'd had a few drinks before logging on and deciding to spend one, by way of explanation). It's pretty much what you expect. Nothing unique bridge wise but then who cares, the free Origin bridge is best anyway. No particular regrets, no particular endorsements. It's fine. Override subsystems 3 and reroute reserves to weapons 3 make a nice combo, as you'd expect. Yeah it's a perfectly okay escort. Nothing revolutionary. Mostly it just looks relatively unique, which again is fine. It's fine.

Ancestral Sin, a level 1 sidequest on Vulcan, was fun I was genuinely thrown off when Jabok the Vulcan conspirator said that I had only proof the note was sent from his terminal, not that he wrote the note, and he threatened to talk to Vulcan about throwing wild accusations around, which sounded like a bad ending. Then I went back to H'mek the Romulan conspirator and got "My proof is an anonymous tip" as the only option, which sounded terrible when they put it like that, then went back to Jabok and "This is your chance to do the right thing" worked in spite of the absence of proof.

That would explain why they seem to keep getting caught off guard by it - they didn't announce previous invalidations because they honestly didn't know they were going to happen*. *Competent QA would have caught this of course, but Cryptic obviously hasn't been paying any attention to QA lately.

We know that the database is stored as horrible binary blobs instead of a proper database, my guess is part of maintenance involves deserialising character data as a whole for parsing/checks/updating and then reserialising, and something about the serialiser isn't translating the skill spec properly so it gets rendered invalid during translation, so every time they run the maintenance sequence any character which has an update of some kind applied during maintenance loses their skill spec. That's where I'd be looking if I worked for them, anyway.

To be honest I'm pretty sure the T6X tokens are selling like hotcakes, because of course they are. They're just a good middle ground between giving away a ship or something or a few keys or the equivalent forgettable thing. Semi-related, I forgot you can use those tokens on T5U ships too. Usually absolutely no point to it but there's a few unique ones from old lockboxes you never see around. Tempted to use one on the Malon fartbarge or maybe that sphere builder destroyer. Throw it on the cardie flight deck cruiser or something that's cross-faction, account-wide, and good for loving around and being lazy in any sort of STF with. Hard to go wrong there.
