Wasn't this a huge thing a few years ago? I saw a real TV news program in Australia report this today. drat they only discovered the internet this week? And the fact they think it's newsworthy instead of bushfires, virus stuff, china fuckery, Armenia getting hosed, and the USA election clownshow. Literally anything. poo poo report that its wednesday my dudes on a thursday just to be 'close enough'

There's a bunch of cool use-case scenarios for decoys, the simplest of which is probably to deter an enemy's movement across their preferred path-of-least-resistance route and divert them through an area that is more preferential to your forces.
