Gold coast is essentially Australian Ft. Lauderdale. Doubtful youd find any indigenous food there. Maybe in the NT. Its a great place to have an overly aggressive ibis steal an entire beef patty off your maccas burger.

We don't have Godfathers Pizza where I am ( Herman Cain) so one time coming through the Minneapolis airport we're all getting different bad fast food and my friend gets a personal pepperoni pizza from the Godfather. I ask him how it is and he's pretty adamant/unhappy about the quality. The next time I was going through there I figured maybe he got a bad one or enough time had passed since then or that I'd like it better for some reason, so I'd better give it a whirl. I just remember being mad at myself for not taking him seriously. That is a bad pizza.

It's on my Mount Rushmore of $5 fast food deals. BK has two breakfast sandwiches, 2 hash browns, 2 coffees for $5 via mobile order. Popeye's app intermittently has 3 strips, 2 sides, 1 biscuit for $4.99. OK, so I guess there's only three heads on my Mount Rushmore. Though Taco Bell's $1 menu has some impressively substantial items.

Five $1 Taco Bell beef burritos is 2,150 calories. You might be able to find a more calorie-dense $5 meal, but it would take some effort. And daaaaaamn since I bought that Little Caesar's pie a couple days ago, the price of the standard pepperoni went from $5 to $6.45.

I live in a big city so things like the "dollar menu" don't exist for me. It's a tragedy really. Best value for money around here is a Choppak from Choppers: https://www.choppers-chicago.com/ The price has only increased by a dollar in the several decades I've lived in Chicago. Big double burger, side of steak fries, and a big scoop of coleslaw. $7.

That looks amazingly tasty. Onion rings are one of my favorite foods and that looks like a fun way to prepare them. But like bad pizza they are a sometimes treat.

None of those pizzas had gallons of catupiry jizzed all over them, so I doubt it. Also that place looked semi-upscale, the Mestre da Pizza in the video had a grim fluorescent-lit "concrete block building in a bad neighborhood" vibe about it. edit: lol

A popular and familiar taste Also cheaper than the pure firewood places probably, brazilians are all about the cost/benefit The cut corners make a lot more sense when you take into account the food business is overcrowded and the average customers are stingy as hell. When a full plate of rice, beans, bbq meat and salad regularly goes for under 2 dollars fast food either appeals to the wealthier or tries really hard to make a profit.
