Dumb rgb things can be pricy. The biggest offender as far as being kind of garbage/comparable cost would be the computer fans. https://www.thermaltakeusa.com/riing-quad-12-rgb-radiator-fan-tt-premium-edition-3-pack.html. Those fans wouldn't be so bad if the software wasn't awful. My excuse is it's still cheaper then water cooling. I did get like one set of 9 for 50 bucks off so I would have been dumb to not buy it.

I admit that RGB fans look cool and integrated or software-managed lights have their conveniences, but in terms of bang/buck and ease of use nothing beats snaking one of those $20 USB-powered led strips or two into a case and controlling them via included remote. Easy Peasy.

I have an led strip somewhere that I haven't picked a spot for. MORE I say more! Besides I bought the led stuff when computer shopping and it was cheap comparatively. I might get me some addressable rgb Christmas lights at some point. https://www.twinkly.com/. Also I've been thinking https://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-oled48cxpub-oled-4k-tv.

What's the best option for a triple monitor arm/stand setup for a bar top with a flush back? The bar depth is 18.5"; so I'd like to push the monitors away if possible. I'm working with a 27" main monitor and 24"s on either side.
There's space for a .25" plate to insert .75" below the bar, but it would have to tighten from the top.

Spent a few days rearranging the entire office. It was next on the list of rooms to be rewired so figured we'd change it all up while everything was exploded (was previously running everything off one outlet tied to a circuit that was servicing three rooms - ended up adding 2 circuits for each desk area and one dedicated circuit for window AC unit). Expanded my desk with some leftover butcher block from a kitchen remodel in the fall; I am enjoying the expanded space.

Moved my wife's desk as well. Need to clean up the cables a bit but happy with the rearrangement.

What case is that? I’ve been heavily leaning toward an ITX hackintosh build, but looks very pretty

Isn't right now the worst time to start building a Hackintosh? They just switched processor types to their own chips.

Case is here. Not the best airflow case in the world but it's worked fine for her use, which is basic browsing, light photoshop, spreadsheets/office work, and every now and then a game. Wasn't too bad to build in.

Is that a Stressless chair? (or whatever they call those really expensive Nordic chairs).

I presume you play PC games, how does a chair like that work out when using KBM for gaming? I've got a basic task chair that works fine for more "deskbound" PC gaming with a KBM, but when I bust out the controller I always feel less comfortable than if I was on a couch. Your setup looks like the best of both worlds there!

Yes it’s an ekornes stress less. I just got it two weeks ago as an early Christmas present - I was shopping for a decent replacement office chair so my wife gave it to me early before I bought another crummy $100 chair.

It’s amazing. It’s the most comfortable thing I have ever sat in, just edging out the first stressless we bought at a thrift store from the 70s/80s. The only complaint I have is that the arms aren’t adjustable, so I added a keyboard tray under my desk which has actually worked out really well for arm strain and overall comfortable-ness.

For gaming it took a day or two to get used to the keyboard tray but since then it’s better than what I was doing before, with arms extended and keyboard on the desk. Desk is standard 28in legs with about a 2in slab of butcher block on them for reference.

I don’t sit at this desk for more than 2 hours at a time these days, and I haven’t sat in it during summer (it’s leather) so we will see if it was worth the cash in six months. So far though I don’t want to sit in anything else when I’m home.

I am gettin’ me a standing desk in the next couple months, though at the moment I HAVE NO DESK to post :(

My main considerations are trying to find one that goes low enough (I have a weird torso-to-arm-to-leg ratio I think), that it’s pretty stable, and that it isn’t too annoyingly loud.

My company offers a pretty good price on the Steelcase Migration SE which is reviewed in exactly one Reddit post in all of the internet I think... I’m under the probably
-wrong impression that it’s likely to be better than consumer brands like fully or uplift, but frankly, I ‘unno.

Does anyone here happen to have any point of comparison for the steelcase so I don’t have to rely on our noble Reddit comrades in arms?

I bought one of the cheap standing desks on Amazon a couple years ago and have been very happy with it. It's been quiet and hasn't given me a lick of trouble. My girlfriend bought a similar one, seemed to be an updated and improved design. Also quiet and stable.

This is the one I have: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MHVXHT7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1, currently at $238 which I think is about what I paid. The desk top being in two pieces is only mildly odd, but in practice doesn't affect anything. You can also find just the frame if you want to get your own top for it, and I've also seen L-shape options.

Check the lowest Husky height to see if it works for you. If it’s still too a high, a keyboard tray should fix the issue.

Did you find that the chair when at full height required the keyboard tray addition, or that's just how it worked out at your optimal chair height? My desk height is the same dimensions, about 30in high at the desk surface.

Got a link handy for that tray you added? I'm really digging your setup!

The chair actually sits at lowest height for me to be able to use the keyboard try, the problem was that at *any* height there was nothing for my arms to rest on when my keyboard was on my desk top. Chair being low is fine for me at 5'11, may be a challenge for a taller person. Being able to recline at-will makes for changing leg positions to get comfortable super easy.

Keyboard tray is just a simple amazon purchase, and I used a blue IKEA cabinet panel left over from my kitchen remodel. The whole walnut-side of the desk is just kitchen scraps with old legs, lol.

Oh wow, the led strip looks kinda bad in photo, looks a bit better in person, but I'll have to get one with more uniformity now that I can't unsee it.

And yeah, as others have said, the Husky doesn't go as high as you'd expect. I'm 5'8 and I wish it went a bit higher.
