It was kept there a long time ago, the photo is pretty old. I think the Newseum was supposed to return it earlier this year but with Everything Going On Right Now™, it's probably still there, and the Newseum is closed. The ultimate destination is the FBI Experience museum in DC.

If you can't see someone riding a penny farthing directly in front of you you definitely shouldn't be allowed to drive. Replace the numberplate test with that, IMO.

I got bowled over once by a chick riding a fixie through a red light in North Melbourne (hipster central) and I still think cyclists deserve the respect and care due to any road user. It's staggering how many people don't, for real. I think for a lot of that sort they'll use the excuse "well they don't pay road taxes!" to hate on cyclists, when really it's that they're jealous of how fit, active and non-dying-of-atherosclerosis they are.
