'Sudan' deserves a win by loving over their military establishment dogs and handing over power completely to the civilians who want democracy, the more the sudanese military gets wrecked and discredited the better. Dont tie the idea of 'sudan' to the group of mercenaries and guard dogs like the sudanese military.

Not sudani so I don’t particularly care about the form of government they have. You seem to know better, so I’ll defer to you on that.

What's going on in Sudan? There was a lot of optimism when they overthrew Bashir last year, and so far based on what gets informed the transition towards a normal civilian government is following the announced roadmap, and they've done a bunch of positive human rights reforms.

Basically the UAE and The Sudanese military are trying to take over and make it impossible to fully transition into civilian control of the government. They want a military republic regime the way egypt has.

It's a been a while since I checked in, but basically as Al-Saqr was saying the janjaweed were able to seize power during Bashir's ouster. The mass protests were always a coalition between middle class professional organizations and a wider section of the working class, but the massacres in June 2019 seem to have broken the movement. Parts of the middle class coalition entered into an agreement with the military that took power, and that's what the transition to democracy has been. It's a democracy financed by the gulf states and under the umbrella of US imperialism. The recognition of Israel is further evidence of that. The Rapid Support Forces that carried out the massacres in June 2019 also fought for Saudi Arabia and the UAE in Yemen. https://www.voanews.com/africa/sudan-drawing-down-troops-yemen-recent-months Moderate Rebels, which is the Greyzone podcast, had an interview with some Sudanese Communist Party members in June 2019 about the situation. Obviously the situation has continued to develop, but it's neat background. https://moderaterebels.libsyn.com/the-uprising-in-sudan-whats-really-happening-domestically-and-globally-with-ahmed-sidgi-kaballo PawParole posted:

Does anyone have a rundown of recent (~10 years) military actions by the ethiopia military? I imagine most of them are pretty green spending time by the Eritrea border or do they have significant presence in AU peacekeeping?
