Unions without demands concerning their material conditions are worthless.

giving specific demands before having recognition is a mistake, the company can give them and say "see, we don't need an adversarial process, just come to us individually" or not give them and say "see, these organizers are being unreasonable, not like us." in fact, pressing workers to give specific demands and saying "oh gosh, we just don't know, they haven't told us what they want" is a standard part of the anti-union playbook.

listen to the series on the Kickstarter union i linked.

no, that part sucked. the silver lining is that it got members yelling at the executive council, saying that it sucked.

There's a group of Missouri and Arkansas leftists doing a podcast on SoundCloud now called Hoot'N'Holler: A Podcast About The Ozarks. It's the Trillbillies but set a thousand miles west and if one of them bothered to do some sound editing. Do recommend!

are we laughing at the fact that the dasha podcaster got a role on a major tv series or the fact the some c-list bluecheck is trying to name-and-shame her in a thinkpiece for doing leftism wrong? because both are pretty funny imo

mr robot had no bad seasons

although i will say 3rd season before the final season did drag a bit; partly because it felt like it was running for too long and had extremely quaint naive Obama-Era As gently caress quality which was just laughable by the time that one came out although i wouldn't say it was bad -- just a little dated by that time. The final/4th season and the ending of Mr Robot was extremely good though and i'm glad i stuck to see it through to the end because god drat it was one of the better TV ending-seasons of all time.

the last season of mr robot was about how the status quo is good and trying to change anything fundamental is bad. the correct course of action is to ally with the good billionaires to take down the evil chinese billionaire who corrupted the otherwise good neoliberal world order and are responsible for all of society's woes.

even the actual craft wasn't as slick, there was an episode that opened with a long exposition dump montage throughout history about how the shadowy elite cabal was one guy's masterplan rather than having it just emerge from coinciding class lol

there were some good bits and maybe it's better on a binge, but i thought overall it was pretty bad
