After all the security nonsense, if I was a Dem member of the house of reps, I'd be REALLY antsy if a few of my republican colleagues decided to raise a fuss about being searched, or setting off a metal detector. Understanding that the investigation is still underway and that there will be likely a ton more people facing charges for the Capitol attack, I’m not comforted in knowing that if these idiots had 1/10th the security culture that anarchists and leftists use, that almost none of them would have been caught. I am worried that they’ll catch on, and future attacks or mob actions will be that much harder to monitor or interdict. To that end, I also wonder if Parler should have been left up so it could be surveilled more easily. It’s going to be a lot harder to keep tabs on the far right via Telegram.
