I think Pompeo is running State on his own at this point. War with Iran fits into Pompeo's overall ideological project, so it makes sense for him to set the stage for it even if he doesn't personally oversee it. Trump seems pretty distracted with everything else going down in the US.

How accurate was the trueanon interview about that oil deal? They said the sdf is courting both Russia and USA for an oil deal while the USA was trying to strong arm the sdf into dealing with them and playing the good cop to bad cop turkey. And the announced deal was just the usa pretending it was a done deal.
