The way that Mary Jo falls in love with the short Jewish teacher in Oh Boy, Babies! is very funny.

Its the maturing woman that has their old photos spliced in, right? I adore that one. I also like them getting increasingly upset about imperial measurements for cooking in the turkey short. I demand more rifftrax presents

The riff for Merlin's Shop is up on RiffTrax and the preview looks pretty great. I wonder if this cut has more of the hair-trigger tempered psychic.

Marlins shop was going to be a tv show, right? And they just reused the directors movie for part of it?

Interestingly it's two movies smooshed together by the director, who did direct both. They recut the movie with the evil monkey and made it the second half of the Merlin movie and put in some Merlin stuff. Merlin saves the family in our beloved classic, but in the original flick the monkey kills the entire family which would be an even more amazing thing to imagine Grandpa Borgnine telling little Jimmy.

The Apple was just... wow. I love when filmmakers are like “this is my grand vision statement piece” and then they produce something as tonally wild and muddled as The Apple. It also somehow manages to be insanely camp and homophobic at the same time, which was very surprising.

The script writer apparently had a major struggle with the director over the tone of the film and it shows.

The Apple is really something. The extras and costumes and dance numbers, it must have had an insane budget for its time.

Golan Globus truly believed this was the masterpiece film that would legitimise their studio (they started with imported porn and shoestring action flicks)

For me, what's really funny about Grizzly is that they filmed it in in a Northeast Georgia town that's since become a quasi-resort/retirement community and is extremely far away from the natural range of grizzly bears

So watching the new riff and somehow this is the second time in like two weeks that something I've watched/listened to has referred to the band Primitive Radio Gods and their one hit. Edit: The level of incompetence for this movie is absolutely amazing.
