There was a whole spate of bits about this a few years ago, from his girlfriend flashing him at work and asking him the colour of her bra to my favourite, that I think is from the Soule run... where he and Cap are evacuating a building, Matt finds a bomb and Cap tells him over the radio "cut the red wire"... cue explosion.

I haven't seen the cartoon since I was a kid (and I haven't seen the more modern remake at all), but the old ones from back in the 60s were very much along the same vein.

It's very similar, just throwing tons of lame jokes at the wall and hoping some of them work. If you enjoy terrible puns, then it is a timeless masterpiece.

I remember there being a page or two of some Marvel characters talking about how "you could probably fight a Daredevil, but you shouldn't try to fight a Hulk or a Thor" and I can't for the life of me remember what it's from and obviously it's totally ungooglable. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Legitimately my favourite thing from the CW COIE episodes was Lex going to the Smallville (the show) earth, confronting Clark and saying something like "I can't believe on this world Clark Kent is Superman, on my earth, that idiot can't even stand up straight he's so spineless". Like, he's basically omnipotent, is LITERALLY TALKING TO SUPERMAN IN HIS CIVVIES and still can't reconcile that Clark Kent IS Superman.

Sorry for the double post, but I showed that to my friend I'd mentioned it to and she came back with a her own page that she remembered but couldn't find. We both noticed that it was quoted on TVTropes (and several - eugh - TVTropes clones) but no actual citation is given for issue or even series:

quote:

Wolverine: [smirking] Yeah, we wouldn't want the Shocker to get out — then we'd really be in trouble.
The Shocker: [arms crossed petulantly]'' Shut up!

So if anybody knows where to look for that, it'd be appreciated.

he's in this issue of Wolverine from right before Logan dying.

I haven't actually read it though.

Shocker's also in Secret War (the Bendis mini where Nick Fury tricks a bunch of heroes, including Wolverine I'm pretty sure, into invading Latveria)
