This is how it looks like in the app. Clicking the link automatically downloads the video to my phone.  This is how it looks like in browser. I can right-click and copy the link url, which I can then share, but if I open a new tab, paste the URL and hit enter, it will in fact download the video to my hard drive as well. At least I can watch the video embedded, but I have no way of sharing it in a way that'll just open it in brower for other people, except for uploading it to imgur.

You may not have mp4 embedding turned on in the Awful app. Go to settings -> posts -> embedding and make sure "other" is enabled under "video". Of course this won't help you share anything but at least you won't have to download the video on your phone.

No idea what the dark theme guy is on about Anyway I tried the embedding thing and it's nice that now I can play the discord vids embedded in the app! Sadly, now I don't know if it's a discord or imgur video, so when I click the link 🔗 button, it's now a gamble if it downloads or not lol I'll drop it now because I don't think there IS a solution unless I want to yell at the discord devs, I just wanted to know if I'm the only one bothered.
