The original criticism was that the hyenas were analogies for poor minorities, as the characters lived in the bad a part of the savanna where Simba was never to go, an the characters were voiced by black and hispanic actors. So you had an army of poor minorities led by a gay man usurping the rightful inheritance of Matthew Broderick.

It took a while for it to click, but "my opinion isn't allowed" or "I'm being silenced" just translates to "people are now willing to openly disagree with me", Which in some circumstances means "my outdated view now makes me part of a minority in society, and I'm finding out for the first time what that feels like"

I got the cholera vaccine but I could still transmit cholera if I caught an asymptomatic case of cholera and scratched my rear end in a top hat and then touched food with my lovely hands but it is associated with a >90% lower chance of making GBS threads myself to the emergency room if I did catch cholera, even though that's a far from certain outcome even without the vaccine. Oh well, off to social media to copypasta about how vaccines are useless if I still have to wash my hands after touching my rear end.
