I wasn't, like excited about it but I was somewhat interested just since I vaguely knew about it and figured 7 years is a long time for a mod so maybe. I should just play vanilla New Vegas again, I've forgotten almost everything about it other than the opening.

'all over' is not really true. it's not really a fun mod though, the ncr campaign is this weird call of duty/army hero movie thing where it's just not really a fallout game. apparently the other factions are better but i'm not going to start over a bad game just to see if it's not a turd.

sorry I didn't keep up with this thread today, I was busy keeping up with the stonks thread there's a lot of righteous anger but also a whoooole lot of not understanding the technical complexities of how trading actually works going around. the tl;dr of it is: in many and probably most cases, brokerages didn't halt buying of the meme stocks because they just felt like making the price go down and loving over their retail customers. Mostly they did it because of the 2-day settlement rule, which means that various market middlemen are on the hook for the entire liability of the total cumulative trades for 2 days, and a few of them hit capitalization limits imposed by the SEC which required them to stop taking on more risk, e.g., halt trades that add to their book. Another thing: robinhood gives people free automatic margin, so a bunch of people who think they don't have margin actually had margin accounts, and were being forced to sell shares because of that and not because robinhood decided to just flagarantly break a real big securities law. That doesn't mean there were no manipulators/liars/etc., of course. It's just... not the whole story by a long shot and in many cases this is not "deregulation in action" it's "regulation in action."
