Good times today boys! After a less than gentle admonishing I decided against taking up any person position with GME but hopefully was able to help some folks out ITT. Let's see that Gain Porn please!! As for the future, I'm utterly in the dark now. No clue what to expect, and I think for the first time, the people on both sides of the table are at the same level of uninformed. If I had to guess? Up 25% tomorrow, down 25% the day after, who the hell knows. Personally I'm done with memes (technically that decision has been made for me but whatever, I would've been done regardless) but there are some hot opportunities coming up in the near future. Mark the calendar for Friday as there's an exciting IPO for an at home PCR covid test with extreme potential if they can lock down a good partner, government contract, etc

Finally was able to sell some AMC calls. Sold Feb 19s $19 strike for $4.70 I would have gotten more but I had to place the trade through tech support. Oh well, it still makes my AMC profitable at any price over like $11.

For many of you using discord now, a 0day exploit has been identified of a linked .mp4 video it crashes your discord/browser/CPU and launches credential grabbing scripts. https://twitter.com/sky_evangeline/status/1356103619481894913 If you think you may have clicked on a video that has frozen your discord or browser, you may have click on this perpetrating file. Only advise right now is to reinstall your OS and create new passwords. I would do this on all your online accounts. This being a thread of people with brokering accounts and money trading, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Who is buying these 19 MAR 800 GME calls at 50$, that's 5k per call? If TD wasn't blocking uncovered calls on GME I'd probably try selling a few, which I guess is why they blocked it ultimately.

It has a bumpy road ahead of it but I think rapid PCR testing is going to be the key to normal life resuming Their competitors are antigen tests which, while cheaper, just don't hack it with false negatives. Letting 10,000 people in to a stadium needs 98% accuracy, not 95% of symptomatic and 40% of presymptomatic

People are getting conditioned to buy cheaper snacks in person and streaming stuff at home. A good chunk of people who still have incomes during the pandemic are probably spending their excess cash on electronics and hometheatre systems as well. I think movie theatres are going to go the way of video arcades and net cafes and the only thing they had going for them was exclusivity on new releases. They'll have to really work on providing you with an experience that you can't get at home that mimics that early childhood/teenaged magic of going to the movies.

The bigger problem is there is no pipeline of new blockbusters. On a plus side old movies you love are excellent on the big screen and cost AMC nothing to show.

Both tested negative since then. Granted we wore masks when we weren't shoving food in our mouths and Open Carry hand sanitizer like Corona is going to mug us at any moment, so it can be done.

Extremely anecdotal, but when two of the local theaters (one AMC) did a limited reopen for weekends a few months ago, they just about sold out every showing of a newer or older hit movie. Now it was social distance with very limited capacity, and probably easy to sell out seats, but short term there is a lot of pent up demand to for people to "go out and do something". One of those things might be to go see a movie in a theater.
