Aw sweet, I can't wait to watch this when I finish work. SnapsCube and the rest of ClownHouse are some of the funniest Twitch streamers I've come across that I kinda forgot that their fandubs are originally why I followed them. Also the Garry's Mod bit in the Sonic Riders was only five minutes and hilarious.

Now, Simpsons and trans people is another matter entirely.

I’d say the writers are actively transphobic, but I think enough years have passed since they made a trans “joke” that there may be a new set of writers that simply don’t care instead.

It feels like for them it's less a matter of riff source but that it all comes down to how lucky they are with whatever running jokes and character traits tumble out of their mouths. The Sly Cooper one is 90% Bentley explaining things to Sly and yet we got gold like "Benjamin Franklin and George Washington were lesbian lovers" out of it.

South Park's shown a willingness to evolve over the years and let their characters change to open up new story possibilities. Especially with their change to make events stick week-to-week instead of resetting each episode. The Simpsons has only done that VERY rarely over its thirty-year (:corsair:) run. And the only one that's ever really stuck, to my knowledge, is Maude's death. Something I think The Simpsons sorely needs to do is just pull a time-skip of, say, about five years to shuffle things about and re-plant some seeds for storylines out of that skipped period.

My favorite WayneRadio thing is the AI cooking stream where he actually cooked the batshit recipes Talk To Transformer spits out. Even Groenig's other shows have evolved considerably. Futurama quietly just let Fry and Leela be in a healthy relationship in the latter seasons rather than dragging out the will-they-won't they thing, and Disenchantment is fairly hit-or-miss but at least trying to go somewhere with a larger arching story.

I feel like letting some superheroes have r-rated movies could lead to more interesting stories being told with those characters. Of course the characters need to actually fit with the more serious/gritty atmosphere, like Wolverine or Black Widow. The world doesn't need a R-Rated Squirrel Girl movie. Or this new Justice League cut.

Though it also opens the door to using cheap poo poo like random cursing and shitton of blood to cater to edgy fanboys, which I'm not a fan of.

The world doesn’t really need any movie.

I’m very pro Snyder’s Justice League because it might lead to seeing some previously hosed with movies. Like Solo (probably not lol) or even the hinted at Ayers Suicide Squad.

The extended edition of Alien 3 is so much better than the theatrical, and it’s amazing that they actually restored it.

More new cut films please.
