Gat drat this pyro was just wrecking me earlier. You notice how a good pyro is infuriating. Puffing, airblast then pinpoint flaregunning. Made all the worse when a medic figures out whos tops score and just attaches himself to them. gently caress i just realized i could shut his rear end down with vaccinator.

Sniper is perfectly fine and the worst thing valve's ever done was change the Bushwhacka from 20% fire vuln to damage vuln.  This has nothing to do with my 2k hours as sniper, purely objective.

Reinstalled after the posts about bots being rooted out and yeah, they're still around but the server auto-kicks them around half the time and the players the other half, so they only tend to ruin one round

Pretty obvious sniper aimbot. Came in half way through the round and got 70 points in like 15-20 minute before an admin got on and booted him. One of the sniper regulars on the other team was losing his mind during that.

Having item sets give gameplay benefits was always a terrible idea. However, it was very funny when a sniper aimbot person would join the server and someone on the other team would equip the set that gave headshot immunity.

I was playing on barnblitz and pushed through the first point and started stickying red's spawn door as demo, and someone posted something like "this is because of the spawn camping" and toggled hax, the chat box instantly filled with poo poo and then a few seconds they were "removed from match by system" and like a bunch of them all disappeared at once maybe it was in my head, or maybe they all just followed their party leader or something. but Valve has clearly done something to get the bot situation under control

This game is still fun to just chill and frag out on. I think it’s why I always come back to it. There are things I like in the other similar shooters, but you just can’t jump in to them and play what ever or just gently caress off with a gimmick. I think that’s one of the problem with modern matchmaking in shooters, too much emphasis on team work and winning at all times instead of just enjoying the mechanics of the game for what they are.

I think TF2 is the best casual shooter because you can still do stuff even with relatively potato aim. Like, there is never a situation where I'm like "my opponent out-aimed me and the only thing I could have done to win that engagement is aim better". It's always "I hosed up and overextended" or "I should have spammed the corner to see if anyone was on the other side" or "I should have backed off instead of committing to the 1v1". But every other FPS is like, the Aim Game, and if you go up against someone with significantly better aim you're gonna eat poo poo even if you work every other factor to your advantage. If your aim is off tonight, you might as well not play at all because you're not going to enjoy it.

I can't even be bothered with most of these FPS games where you have to play teamwork with random strangers, waste of time. i was in a process map where the second round lasted about 30 minutes, and we were 20 mins into the third round before i had to go cause my dinner was about to overcook... always hate it when that happens ignore a couple deaths and kills, most of this was soldier. for not having played in forever i feel like i did pretty good. been mostly playing medic tho. also i completely lost any ability to play demo

I started to play scout and sniper more lately just because a few guys I know prefer CoD Warzone and tactical shooters over something fun like TF2 (or even apex). I somehow was in the zone last night on a game of Koth_sawmill and had 45 kills with 3 deaths in a pretty back and forth game (both rounds went the full 6 minutes). I rarely missed and really only died twice because of being too aggressive, and once getting sniped right out of spawn. It’s weird how even after a decade of this stupid game I can still get enjoyment and learn new skills/play styles.

its crazy to me cause, ive gotten more airshots in the sporadic 2 or 3 day sessions of tf2 ive had in the past 2 years than in my failson years and it comes down entirely to actually trying to go for them lol trollimpo: alf, i thought we were friends xd me: haha me: was it you who i arishot? trollimpo: yeah he then sent me a friend invite but my days of adding randos on steam are so long gone. cool to see good natured ppl still playin tho
