He only got 19.5% in the primary, lost to Katie McGinty, (42.5%) and McGinty lost to Toomey in 2016 by 48.8-47.3%. During my brief foray into SOF, nobody ever spoke about politics. Even right after the Soleimani strike, everyone was like "Huh, that sure was a thing". Maybe being former SOF really rots your brain, but this group of mostly-SF guys were very chill and not outwardly-political.
