Dinosaurs are so dumb, a head is a poor substitute for a ball. Points for style, obviously, but really just awful for actual bowling.

This is exactly why they died out.

Maybe Superboy does know that and he’s really trying to be supportive and complementary to Bizzaro.

Right. To keep details of touch-up/revisions/etc. clear, I use whichever issue I actually read for the crediting, even if it’s a reprint. In this case, it’s reprinting a story from Incredible Science Fiction #33 (1956).

Ah, that's actually an excellent system! I think I own almost all of the 90s EC annual reprints that packaged 5 regular issues together, I loved that stuff as a kid even though looking back the art is like 100x better than the writing, which was often wordy and pedestrian.

I thought SA hated him because so many of his comics were about pining for a relationship he was creepily obsessed with and there was some real life drama about it.

I don't know anything about that, the only hate I've heard is that it was a little too twee. I think a lot of hate was just coming from backlash against people who liked it a lot. I know a lot of CS majors back in college thought it was the funniest poo poo ever because... well, who else is out there making jokes about coding? But then it was like, okay guys, I get it, you don't have to keep sending me links to strips (and then explaining some of the more obtuse ones to my dumb rear end).

edit: wait a sec, I do remember the pining thing. Though iirc all it was was a bunch of mostly baseless conjecture based on the fact that he reused one girl's name in multiple lovey-dovey strips.
