This is definitely seeming like "A Way*" to retcon Anansi wholesale---I have no idea where they are going with some of these threads now, even compared to some of the ones from last season.

Xfinity got rid of the package that had Stars on it, and I'm not paying extra for one show. Can anyone give me a brief synopsis of what's happening this season?

Not to diminish his actions, but he’s been in the show a few minutes this season, and from what I understand only had a single appearance more to go. I get the impression that this was a storyline they were going to get back to in 4-5 seasons, or however long they are imagining this show being on air.

Every scene between Blythe Danner and Ian McShane is great. I love watching veteran actors get to play off each other like that. I just wish there was more of it.

This season has been pretty good. The show's never going to look as good as season 1, and it's never going to have anything as good as the police interview scene either, but I'm enjoying it a lot.

I'm still liking the show enough to watch, but we are over half way through the season and i'm struggling to think of anything significant that happened. The Demeter plotline just got dropped. Something is going on with Technical Boy but we don't know what, and there is possibly a murderer on the loose in a small town.

Book spoilers: To me, Trejo was clearly on the phone with Wednesday, but I'm wondering how given that we've seen Wednesday needs to use phones so I wonder how that happened with him being in the hospital. Maybe he was talking to Cordelia who is more in the know than Shadow? I'm not so sure on that since the more people in on the grift, the more who can give the game away. I've been watching the show with my Dad who hadn't read the book, and last week he finally downloaded the Anniversary edition and is halfway through it now.

All of Wednesday's plans are self defeating, why is anyone worried about him?

I don't know why they insist on using the "plants growing/ungrowing very quickly" and "petals and such" VFX for the goddesses. It doesn't look good.

I haven’t read the book but I had the sensation they were trying to redo the Easter arc but now that she bounced I’m not really sure what the point was except to have something for Wednesday to do while the book plot of buttfuck wi is going on.

Finally caught up and I don't get this season at all. Season 2 ended on a huge cliffhanger and poo poo started going down but now season 3 started and just said 'nah' to all of that and everything is back to dicking around with Wednesday. I was kind of hopping they were skipping Lakeside because in the book the whole thing dragged on forever, didn't affect the greater plot at all and in general was the worst part.

Haven't red the book but will spoiler conjecture it seems that Hinzelamann is a witch or vampire what with the Nosferatu face looking up at the same time as her. Trapped god under the ice in exchange for peaceful town. The car falling through the ice is a form of sacrifice. The missing girl is probably in the trunk. The restricted colours of the town are part of the witchcraft of it all. The withcrafty dark blue of the car will be replaced by the pinkness of that woman's car falling through the ice and that will brake the spell. Odin gets a recruit or a slave god.

Okay, it seems just flat-out insulting at this point that the post-episode teaser underlines that they have "ONLY TWO EPISODES LEFT", with a show wherein absolutely nothing happens for 90% of air time in any given episode. I mean, fine, this time we got a fight scene, but it was pretty lame, and Wutan only won by being a sneaky back-stabber, ho ho ho!, and we weren't exactly given much reason to care about Tyr in the first place!, but in general this season it feels like all the plot threads they seemingly throw at us end up as duds. And they haven't even got a green light for a fourth season, so this could very well be the end here. Ughhhhhhhhhhh. I would watch a fourth season so long as it has Ian McShane in it, just give it to me Starz

Watched all three seasons back to back over the last few weeks and found it to be quite an interesting show, once done read up a bit and finding out it has been a train wreck behind the scenes really made some characters vanishing make all the more sense. One thing been wondering, will put in tags in case my speculation is true or someone knows from the books. Is Wednesday the real original Odin or is he simply Americans Odin. Kinda like all the various Jesus depending on the belief and religion. I always found it odd that Odin says he can't exist if he leaves Americas shores, I mean wouldn't he be widely known in Europe? So shouldn't he be able to go there. Him being the American version of Odin makes sense if he can't leave because there is already a Europe Odin if not various versions ala Jesus

I think the book spells it out explicitly relatively early in the story that this is the case, believers come to a new land and bring their gods with them. Each country gets a discrete "copy." I think it's been mentioned in the show as well but I could also just be confusing it with stuff from the book.

Yeah, it's a real shame how they make such a big deal about Easter taking away spring and then it never comes up again. Kristin Chenoweth wasn't what I pictured for Easter, but she sure did a good job with it. Regarding your spoilers, all the gods are American gods. The little prequel bits in the show are supposed to indicate the ways that the gods "arrived" in America, like how the vikings burned their offering to Odin on the shores or when Anansi crawls ashore from the wreckage of a slave ship. That's the worship of them creating the new, American versions. The book calls these little interludes "Coming to America" chapters, it's where Salim and the Djinn are introduced too. Unfortunately, the show doesn't convey this very well.
