Laughing my rear end off at the Season 5 finale of The Expanse where they Poochie Alex out of nowhere due to the whole sex pest stuff. I knew something like that was coming but it was hilariously out of nowhere.

Good show, even though I didn't think seasons 4-5 were quite as good as 2-3.

Greg Inglis was one of them. He was a legit loving God in his day and I could write a massive post about his abilities.

Jarryd Hayne is in there too who played for the 49ers for about 5 minutes.

edit: corrected "it's" to "its"

I love its ambition, and there are some individual performances in there worth celebrating, as well as some design elements that are truly amazing (the intro songs, for instance). But the merger of the two ongoing themes of sitcom refuge and something-sinister-underneath has been done pretty poorly, some of the characters are extremely one-dimensional (Monica, the head bad guy of SWORD). It feels like the sum is less than the whole of its parts.

Still, I'd take an ambitious fizzle like this over a stretched out MCU Netflix series any day.

LMAO, the tribune should be better than running such half assed PR like this. No one at ERCOT is a hero and if they did their job in a semi-competent manner things never would've got to this point.

System operators are not responsible for the lack of maintenance or preparation on the system. These are technicians following emergency procedures. It's like being mad at some guy who shuts down chernobyl to avoid a meltdown, instead of blaming the people who designed the reactor, refused to let it be tested properly, were warned about its dangers but refused to heed those warnings, and then insisted nothing was wrong while it went into a meltdown.

Yes, failing to shut down texas' power network would not have literally led to a nuclear disaster, but it definitely would have led to exploding and burning substations and high voltage equipment. The system operators aren't heroes for doing what they were trained to do, but they sure did have to make some scary decisions under extreme pressure and that's at least worthy of some respect.
