My guess is that whoever the Bad Guy is (because it's not gonna be her) starts making up stories about her having real gorilla chest vests, etc., to discredit her. So when she shows up wearing something in a Dalmatian pattern everyone believes she skinned a dog. But, of course, she would never!.

JL is this March I think, but "hit" or "bomb" means nothing in the world of streaming service movies. Netflix may know how many people streamed it but the math of whether it was worth the expense is gonna be fuzzier than Hollywood math usually is.

Yeah like even without creative accounting, how do you quantify something like that being a success or worth the money. I assume it's going on sale and rent too (HBO Max doesn't exist outside the US) so there's some traditional money rolling in.

They almost certainly track what every person watches, the first movie they watch after signing up, how long they retain those customers, the last thing they watch, etc.

Yeah but they’re not inclined to share any of that with us. Each streaming service almost certainly has their own metrics for whether something is a success or not but unlike theaters, where we get access to that data as well, every streamer is just a black box that can say whatever they want about the success of their movies.
