BAEST MODE!!!
You know how people say you learn more from your failures than your success?

That's why you can credit the Performance Center for Tay Conti.

Go look at the WWE PC website again.

Just browse it to the “success stories” section.

https://www.wweperformancecenter.com/#!/journey

There is the link. And just go through the names.

That’s why brain worms exist for their fans.

Yeah, that's someone who has, fundamentally, not yet been taught how to wrestle.

BAEST MODE!!!

This reminds me of that CM Punk vs Shelton Benjamin vs Elijah Burke 3 way that was so bad in a really weird way that it felt like they were doing a parody of wrestling rather than just a bad match.

This is also not true. They are still the highest selling companies and that's the biggest genre. It's just floppies no one is buying, and no one is buying any of those. It's just moved to trade sales. Sorry to keep bringing this up, but this is a common talking point used by hate group Comicsgate, so it would be for the best if we don't act like it's true.

Comics had their highest sales in the 1940s, and part of this was the government buying a lot to send to the troops. When the war ended that market dried up and there was a drop, there were a few ups and downs, the newsstand market eventually got small enough that comics started moving to the direct market, which is comics sold in comic book stores.

CG usually points to the 1990s as the lost Golden Age When Things Were Good which is kinda hilarious because it was a massive speculation bubble which eventually popped, taking half the direct market with it. Since then comics have been holding on, they're not going anywhere, it's just the old problem where kids nowadays have 900 different things to entertain them.

Yes Tay Conti failed to succeed in WWE because her ego was too big and she kept... politicking? What even is this? Is this citing an NXT fanfiction they wrote?

I think there's a bit of truth to this but its written in a way to make WWE look good and Conti look bad. She got frustrated in WWE because she wasn't going anywhere because WWE were signing ready-trained women and putting them ahead of the people being trained and made that known to them and they clearly don't handle well when people ask for a push or for more chances: so when the pandemic hit they cut her ASAP (along with Purazzo and several others who later on all had the same story of asking for a spot on TV only to be told no) and I think they assumed that she'd just go away. They recruited her from real sports and to succeed there you need a strong belief in yourself and clearly that does not work in WWE where you are expected to be like "yes sir sorry sir" if you do anything out of line or try to stand up for yourself; while in AEW (and in every normal wrestling promotion) that belief in yourself and work ethic to achieve things has clearly really helped her: and I think her knowing that AEW are behind her as strongly as they seem to be only improves that confidence and self-belief. Add in getting proper training and the fact that because there's a clear path of progression to bigger spots she actually has an incentive to train (which I suspect she did not late in her WWE run which might explain that gif) and everything just clicks to make AEW look good.

i think part of it is the confidence she has gained from wearing better gear. she didn't even used to have real kneepads; just dumb wraps that led out from kickpads beneath them. pad tay is excellent

Tay still has some real green moments but she adds more cool poo poo to her game every time I see her and it’s clear AEW/Nightmare Factory is encouraging her to bring her own background into her wrestling style, which rules
