I dunno why but it really grinds my gears how, in addition to wildly distorting things that might be technically true (ie there was, indeed, a massive arab-run slave trade in east Africa, that just doesn't excuse the western slave trade), freep acts like basic historical facts that everyone learns are part of a huge marxist conspiracy to hide the truth.

Ironically, the only professor I had in college who talked about politics was a freeper.
i had a bunch that talked about politics. one was a big super socialist who kept me off socialism for a while because he was a massive dickhead and not in the fun way. he was nice to me but he was a loving horrible teacher. the others others were lefties of various stripes including my homeland security teacher who would poo poo talk flynn and trump and W and talk about the hosed up poo poo he saw cops do as a DEA agent in the 80s. the only chud one i had was my computer teacher and he was just an rear end in a top hat. like it exists but they don't fail you over poo poo.

The President could station troops in areas surrounding, but not on, the Capitol.

There are no slaves or slave owners alive in the US. There is no such thing under common or natural law for passing debts onto future generations. Also slavery was not universal and not each and every person is responsible. Even blacks were slave owners and from what I have read, the first slave owner was black. However, if the Communists want to go down that road, the only identifiable group responsible for US slavery is the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party is also fully and solely responsible for the KKK, Jim Crow laws, and segregation. It will start shortly after Covid fades from the public consciousness. And they will constantly remind us that non-Whitey was “disproportionately affected” by Covid, and therefore Whitey must hand over all his earnings to indolent non-Whitey, who will continue to blame his failures on Whitey.

Actual reparations were paid in blood, 1861-1865. Over 700,000 dead, tens of thousands of arms, legs, eyes, given to the cause, families destroyed, farms and lively hoods destroyed.
This war even managed to pull in the Indian Tribes of the west, as many of the tribes joined the South in that fight.
