I'll tell you this much: I'm always thinking bout them E: To bring us back on-topic I decided to read the comics just to see how different it is and uh, well I prefer the version we got as a TV series. I'm just at the Scotland part and Hughie has become particularly lovely, though at least the narrative seems to recognize that he's in the wrong.

Yea the books are loving horrid. Show, much much better. Had to laugh at the Soldier Boy costume leak footage where they used a body double for Ackles. That costume is certainly... something. I was expecting some sort of MCU Cap ripoff or something, but yea, they didn't go that route in the least.

I just started Banshee and it loving owns but it's even worse then Thrones with the non stop gratuitous nudity and sex. Anthony Starr still kicks rear end though.

The last season of Banshee is pretty bad, I wish they didn’t treat the native Americans as such chumps through the first three seasons only to have them completely disappear in the 4th. The big bad of S4 looks dorky as hell too, I couldn’t stop laughing at his “reveal”

I had to stop Banshee in season 3 because it's just so crushingly brutal. I just wanted a single happy thing to happen  It needed a Starlight/Hughie insert

Yes, although it's not precisely his fault the guys he pissed off before he went into prison are hunting him and just spraying bullets indiscriminately into traffic, which causes the huge bus crash. You'd think the police would want to talk to him about it though, even if it wasn't his fault.

I've watched the first 3 episodes of Banchee the last couple days and it seems pretty dumb. New sheriff's been in town a week and he's shot and killed 3 people and beat the everloving gently caress out of a MMA champion in front of like 100 witnesses. This is pretty much a USA Network show except Anthony Starr is better than those shows can get and it has titties and cursing.

He's pretending to be one, and uses that as a cover to work out his aggression and steal things (so just like an actual cop might). It's probably one of the better "cop" shows, through a certain lens. The show's not supernatural, Banshee's the name of the town. Though basically anyone who tries to leave the town dies in the attempt, which explains a bit of the reason behind the name.

I figure they just want to keep her character in their back pocket for a potential future return, but I was never expecting her to come back next season. This certainly doesn't rule out a return in the future, after healing up, or becoming MechaStormfront, or something.

I think she's just not in this season. I think the show runners just didn't necessarily want to fall into the trope of permanently killing off every antagonist. Leave the door open to having them come back in some form later on if they feel like it. Like they did on Fringe I always thought it was a mistake to kill of Jared Harris' character so quickly, but they found a way to bring him back.

They are shooting right now, which means they are probably done writing, and she said “I’m not there, I don’t know what’s going on” so it’s extremely safe to say she won’t be in S3 but might be in S4.
