https://twitter.com/stereogum/status/1366770999711195143?s=20 The single was co-written by the guy from Wild Nothing (you can definitely hear it in there, nevermind that he also does some backing vocals) and this is cool and good

Wild Nothing guy also did a single with Molly Burch who is good and people should check out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J30JAtAhis This one I like a lot from her, she kinda does the Angel Olsen lady crooner 60s vibes thing a lot of songs imo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScLF6dwvMTo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8vbcKQXfCg

The new st vincent single is out, it rules. Feels like it could have been a single from Midnite Vultures which is obviously a very good thing

Apparently the new album is called Daddy's Home because her father just got out of prison after 10 years, serving time for something she calls a silly white collar crime.

To be fair white collar doesn't grab real time unless its hosed up or you hosed a rich person considerably. But objectively, getting slapped with a feather for white collar crimes isn't fair. At all.

I think expecting her to be objective about what a lovely thing he did is silly, but it is a little funny to listen to Year of the Tiger and then read some of those quotes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFscIG9Pwo0 I really wish any of the new IDIB artists would release an LP at this point but the drip of singles since last October have been loving great. This song is so much better than the one they put on the After Dark 3 compilation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efSpxaaO1UQ This one is lit, like the score for blade runner mated with a MGMT song. Which makes sense since one of those dudes mixed it

Gone Fashing posted:i dont collect vinyl but it is pretty cool. tempted to get it anyway Yeah I don't buy vinyl anymore unless it's something I'm actually going to pick through and pull out and play. This fits the bill. I also like how they specifically say buying for eBay resale goes against their terms of purchase and they reserve the right to cancel order they find listed.

Putting the Lumineers on track 1, side A in 2021 is kind of hilarious even if they are technically one of the biggest non-mumford folk bands of the past 15 years. Hey!

Yeah no kidding. Not a huge Lumineers fan. Although hilariously I saw them open for U2 on the Joshua Tree anniversary tour in 2017 or whatever. I think it'd be fun to see them in a club or something, but boy howdy they are not meant for 100K stadiums. They were just completely swallowed by the stage and everything. They did not look like they were having fun *at all*.

Yeah wow, that is pretty bad. It's an okay (if masturbatory) essay about Lana herself, but only occasionally qualifies as a review. Probably because the album is so boring. It just made me want to listen to Folklore again, and I'm not even the biggest fan of that
