I assume that for the purposes of this conversation, we are talking about full frontal nudity, i.e. exposed breasts at least for female characters. I don't quite remember it, but is Norman ever shown nude below the waist level? I think it was always just the upper torso, enough to show off the hand-prints. For males, that basically doesn't count as nudity in most of Western society.

There's a full frontal naked guy in GTA4 that wasn't sexualized. Full frontal male nudity is basically nonexistent in media because ratings boards are terrified of penises, especially erect ones. I highly doubt there's a non-porn game in existence that shows erect dong.

There's "nudity," as in, maybe showing some naked skin as far down as the butt from behind, and then there's actual nudity, and that is practically never shown in a non-sexual context. Where it is, such as in Outlast, it's clearly there to freak people out because oh no penis. The creators know their audience there.

I guess at the end of the day, as much as I think "ironic" horny posting (especially about Bowsette or whatever) is gross, I'm extremely nonplussed at actual horniness or sexuality in games. They're part of being human. As pointed out earlier, it's only a problem if it's done in a way that makes you think "okay what weird fetishes did this game designer have" Edit: and even then it's not always a problem, 2B for example

I think the entire situation is easy to sum in a single sentence: horniness is human, but so is taking a dump, and not everyone wants to watch someone else do that. Well there is some degree of personal responsibility at work here. That’s not your fault if you do! But it’s not the game’s fault, either.
